Why My Boxed Lunch Open Houses and Catered Twilight Open Houses Stand Out
By Allison Vitella, Realtor® | Howard Hanna Rand Realty
Selling a home takes more than putting a sign in the yard and hoping buyers show up. In today’s competitive New Jersey real estate market, every detail matters.
That’s why I don’t believe in ordinary open houses.
I believe in creating experiences that make buyers remember a home long after they’ve left.
Two of my favorite ways to do that are my Lunch Open Houses and Catered Twilight Open Houses.
Lunch Open Houses: Designed for Busy Professionals
Not everyone can spend their weekends touring homes.
Many buyers are trying to squeeze house hunting into an already packed schedule between work, meetings, and family commitments.
That’s exactly why I created my Lunch Open Houses.
Held during the lunch hour, these open houses allow busy professionals to stop by, tour the property, and pick up a freshly prepared lunch to take back to the office.
It’s convenient, thoughtful, and makes it possible for buyers who may have otherwise missed the opportunity to see the home.
Sometimes all someone needs is 20 minutes during their lunch break to discover the house they’ve been searching for.
Catered Twilight Open Houses: Showcasing a Home at Its Best
Some homes simply look better in the evening.
As the sun begins to set, landscape lighting comes alive, fireplaces glow, pools shimmer, and outdoor living spaces become warm and inviting.
That’s why I host Catered Twilight Open Houses.
Guests are welcomed with professionally catered small bites and refreshing beverages while they experience the home in a relaxed, elegant setting.
Rather than rushing from room to room, buyers can take their time, appreciate the craftsmanship, enjoy the outdoor spaces, and imagine entertaining family and friends in the home.
It’s an experience that creates an emotional connection—and that’s often what turns a visitor into a buyer.
Marketing Is More Than Advertising
Before becoming a Realtor, I spent years as an award-winning Marketing Director at NBC.
One lesson has stayed with me throughout my career:
People remember experiences far more than advertisements.
Anyone can schedule an open house.
I want buyers to remember your home.
By creating memorable events that fit buyers’ lifestyles—whether it’s a convenient lunch-hour tour or an elegant evening showing—I help your property stand out in a crowded market.
Every Home Deserves a Custom Marketing Strategy
No two homes are the same, so why should every open house be?
Along with professional photography, cinematic video, social media marketing, digital advertising, and targeted outreach, my Lunch Open Houses and Catered Twilight Open Houses are part of a customized marketing plan designed to showcase each home in the best possible light.
My goal is simple: attract qualified buyers, create lasting impressions, and generate the strongest possible offers.
Because selling a home isn’t just about opening the front door.
It’s about opening the door to the next chapter of someone’s life—and making sure they never forget the moment they first walked in.
